With common ancestral roots, the culture and history of the Thai People has lasted for thousands of years. The terrain and topography of Thailand is as diverse as it’s people as there are many native tribes that still practice the original way of life as their ancestors.

Thailand has been invaded a multitude of times from foreign rule, and has been affected by wars such as WWII and many others. Thankfully their culture, history, and ancestral knowledge has prevailed through it all as holds a place in the world today. There is a district that borders Myanmar called the Fang District. Here lies some of the most beautiful landscapes that Thailand has to offer. Nestled in the Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park the women of the tribe learn, at an early age, to craft on the loom. With little connection to the world around them, with only beaten and cracked  gravel mountain roads, they adhere to a simple way of life focused on their art from.

“In the jagged mountain side on the border between Myanmar and Thailand lives a community of artisans who dedicate their lives to creating garments in the way of their ancestors. On a mountain peak, where the military guard the border, lives a tradition of history that outlasts it’s spoken form through the vibrant colors of woven textiles.”
