Our Mission

Inhabited Art connects people with handmade objects sourced directly from indigenous artisans and traditional makers across Latin America and Asia.

We build direct relationships with communities, sourcing objects that carry cultural meaning and are part of living craft traditions. Each piece is hand selected with intention and presented with its context intact.

We work in direct partnership with organizations rooted in these communities, including Miracles in Action in Guatemala and Kurame in Mexico, strengthening long-term support for artisan livelihoods and community development.

We operate as a community-reinvestment model, where all profits are directed back into the communities we work with. This includes ongoing support through continued sourcing, as well as direct initiatives in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India and direct support with Pilpintuwasi in the Peruvian Amazon, contributing to the care and rehabilitation of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.

Our role is to act as a bridge — connecting maker and collector while ensuring the value created returns to the people and places it comes from.

Every object we share is part of that cycle.
